Knowledge Base Article #23:

Error while editing assessment - DLL todgub7.dll is missing, corrupt or incompatible with current version of True OLE DBDropDown 7

Probl: Client has 7 out of 8 machines get this error message when

trying to edit any asmnt. "DLL todgub7.dll is missing, corrupt or

incompatible with current version of True OLE DBDropDown 7."

Webex: verified the message. Tried hand registering. Used Wise to create an oasis.exe install including the true db components. All no good. Performed registry search for todgub7.dll on 2 working machines at GRS, 1 working machine at vendor's office  and the only working machine at client's office compared to one of the failing machines at client's. Failing machine is missing the ClassID registry entry for InProcServer32.

Res1: export said registry entry from working machine and import on failing. Problem solved.

Res2: download file from the attachement and copy it to a folder on the troubled workstation. the from the "Run" command type in "Regedit" or "Regedit32" to open the registry. Once the registry is open from the "file" menu select the "import" option and browse out to the downloaded file "todgub7.dll.reg" or "todgub7.dll" and open or save. if copied successfully then exit the registry and the issue should be resolved. Call Golden Rule Support to get file to download or see ticket #4015 for the attachment file "todgub7.dll.reg.zip".
