Question: How do I get the authorization codes to print on the UB-92 for non-Medicare patients?
Answer: In CLINICAL / CERT PERIOD, the cert period for the patient must Not be "checked" for Medicare PPS, then go to Oasis/POT/SupplOrder, click on EDIT for episode establishing assessment, in the field labeled "Prior Auth#" enter the authorization code, this will print in the FL63 of the UB-92
Note: Be sure that the claim form template assigned to the master payer for the patient is based on a UB-92 and the FL63 is checked to Include Authorization on invoice and one authorization option is selected.
